THEATRE  CAMP 2017

SummerTide Drama Camp returns to South Baldwin Community Theatre beginning June 6  for its annual three-week session of summer camp for young people.  The camp is conducted by the University of Alabama's SummerTide Theatre group.  http://www.summertide.org/theatre-camp/  The first week of camp, June 6 to June 10 is geared toward beginners and focuses on basic elements of theatre such as story theatre, dance and music.   The second week of camp, June 13 to June 17, is for intermediate-level campers and will focus on monologues, simple scene work, improvisation and dance and music.  The third week of camp, June 20 to June 24, is for advanced students and includes work in commedia, scene work, creative writing, dance and music.  Campers work with the SummerTide cast and crew to learn elements of theatre such as story theatre, dance and music.  There are no age restrictions for any of the camps, however, campers must be able to read and take direction.   All camps run from Tuesday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., daily.   Pre-registration is not required and onsite registration will be available at 8 a.m. on the Tuesday session of each week's camp.  

2016  SummerTide Theatre Camp is scheduled for three, one week sessions:

Session #1, Tuesday thru Saturday, June 6 - 10, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm  ~   Beginners
Session #2, Tuesday thru Saturday, June 13 - 17,  9:00 am - 1:00 pm   ~   Intermediate
Session #3, Tuesday thru Saturday, June 20 - 24,  9:00 am - 1:00 pm  ~  Advanced

Tuition is $100.00 per child per session.  To pre-register your child (children) for this
camp, complete and send the form below.   In the message block, supply the child's
name(s), age(s), contact telephone number and the session number being requested.
Your payment will be collected when the child comes to camp.
